Persistence Farm is located in Dover, Delaware, and is persistent on breeding quality Charolais cattle for the future. Lisa Dunaway comes from three Beard generations of Indiana farmers and where her father, Vernon Dunaway, also farmed and raised cattle. Persistence Farm began raising Charolais cattle in 2001 with the purchase of two of Shadow Springs Farm quality heifers and a lot of Bob’s pointers. Quality heifers have been purchased from Andrew Doub, Jensen Charolais Ranch, Hubert Charolais Ranch, Circle K Cattle Company, Double-H Charolais, Polzin Zehnder Cattle, Faraway Cattle Company, and Fink Genetics. We are currently building around these solid females using SAC Miss Cigar 2201. She’s produced some great calves and we’re excited about her future. We have recently teamed with Double S Farms, the Schubert family, to expand our embryo program. Our program currently uses AI and ET with the following herd sires represented:
Look for SAC Miss Cigar 2201 calves on the circuit this year. Sires are Dominion and Gain and Grade. We’re flushing again this fall to Wyoming Wind and Sparrows Madrid. For Sale embryos will be posted on our for sale page or you may contact myself, Matt Bauerlein, or Larry Thompson for information.
PCF Rocket’s calves are making the rounds this summer. Congrats to Rachael Peck, Mullca Hills, NJ, and Matt Blanch, Jonestown, PA with their Rocket calves at the AIJCA Junior Nationals in Wichita Falls, TX.
There is another Rocket! Rocket’s full brother, Deuce has hit the ground running. Another good Unlimited Ease x Prime Time 908 bull. WOW what a guy. He will also be out on tour this summer and fall.
Congrats to Codie Tribbitt at the Delaware State Fair showing his first Charolais heifer, PCF Smyrna FFA Chicata 2603. She’s a Kahluha x Wind that made the final drive for Supreme Beef.
