Persistence Farm is located in Dover, Delaware, and is persistent on breeding quality Charolais cattle for the future. Lisa Dunaway comes from three Beard generations of Indiana farmers and where her father, Vernon Dunaway, also farmed and raised cattle. Persistence Farm began raising Charolais cattle in 2001 with the purchase of two of Shadow Springs Farm quality heifers and a lot of Bob’s pointers. Quality heifers have been purchased from Andrew Doub, Jensen Charolais Ranch, Hubert Charolais Ranch, Circle K Cattle Company, Double-H Charolais, Polzin Zehnder Cattle, Faraway Cattle Company, Fink Genetics, and Leroy Meyers.
We have recently teamed with Double S Farms, the Schubert family, to expand our embryo program. Our program currently uses AI and ET with the following herd sires represented:
Come check out our new bull PCF Dublin 2801. He’ll be making the 08 rounds and we expect him to be a strong yearling contender in 09. He started his career winning Reserve Grand Champion Bull at the Maryland State Fair! We’ll also have a real nice Skymont Dominion heifer, PCF MS MaryAnn 2802 out for her yearling debut in 09.
